Why Leave a Gift

Create an enduring impact

Gifts in wills enable us to plan and deliver long-term restoration projects with confidence.

Support what matters most

Your gift can fund habitat restoration, species protection or wherever the need is greatest.

Every gift makes a difference

Whether big or small, your gift helps ensure that nature is protected and thrives for future generations.

How It Works

Choose The type of gift To Leave

You can choose to leave a specific sum of money, a share of your estate, property or other assets, or a combination of the above.

Appoint Your Will executors

Executors are the people who will carry out the instructions in your Will. Choose people you trust, or seek legal advice if you’re unsure.

Estimate the value And tax

Understand your estate’s value, and the inheritance tax rules. Gifts to registered charities are often exempt or beneficial under UK tax law.

Write or update your Will

You can engage a solicitor or use a reputable Will-writing service. If you already have a Will, a “codicil” may suffice for simple changes.

Keep your Will In A  sEcure Place

Store a copy in a secure place, letting your executors know where it is. Review it if your circumstances change (e.g. assets or preferences).

Suggested Wording

If you’d like help with preparing the language to include Natural World Fund in your Will, here’s some suggested wording:

“I give ____ (a fixed amount / a percentage / the residue of my estate) to Natural World Fund (Registered Charity No. 1214498), of 2 Diamond Cottages Barnett Lane, Wonersh, Guildford, Surrey, GU5 0RU for its charitable purposes. I declare that the receipt of any trustee or other authorised officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors.”

Feel free to adapt the wording with a legal professional to match your own estate’s situation.
