Join Us in Restoring Nature
Volunteering is one of the most powerful ways to make a real difference for wildlife and habitats across the UK.
At Natural World Fund, we welcome people from all walks of life who share our passion for nature—whether you’re getting your hands dirty or helping in other ways, your time and energy help bring nature back.
What You Can Do
Here are some of the ways you as a volunteer can contribute:
Habitat restoration tasks
Planting native trees, creating wildflower meadows, rewetting peatlands, managing woodlands, removing invasive species.
Site maintenance & care
Building paths, repairing fencing, maintaining trails, clearing litter, caring for restoration sites so they can thrive.
Community engagement
Leading or helping at events, workshops, guided walks, helping local communities learn about nature recovery.
Support & administration roles
Administrative help, logistics, communications, social media, tools and equipment preparation.
Register Your Interest
Everyone is welcome! Whether you are:
– a student or professional looking to gain experience
– retired and wanting to give back,
– part of a family or community group,
– or simply someone who loves nature and has some spare time
There’s almost certainly something you can contribute.

– A clear orientation of what the tasks are, and why they matter to wildlife.
– Training or guidance for safety, tools use, wildlife protection, etc.
– Opportunity to meet and make friends with others who care about nature.
– Support from knowledgeable and experienced staff or volunteer leads.
– All the necessary equipment (or guidance on what you should bring).
– Recognition of your contribution and feedback on the impact you’re helping make.
